- When I was two, I nearly cut off my left pinky finger. I had quick parents and good doctors…they reattached it and it works great!
- In 1998 I visited four continents within a 24 hour period (Asia-Africa-Europe-North America).

- Got a cat named Bailey on a Saturday and a dog named George on the next Sunday…it was around the time Jimmy Stewart passed away, but only George was officially named in his honor (George Bailey, It’s a Wonderful Life).

- Was a Cub Scout, but never a Boy Scout (troop didn’t have enough discipline for me at the time…I waited for ROTC!).
- Served as Editor-in-Chief of my high school newspaper, the West Wind, both my junior and senior year. Also served as Layout Editor and later Editor-in-Chief of my college yearbook, the Creightonian.
- Began developing web sites in 1994 (I still do sometimes).
- Still have a letter written by a student teacher in from my fifth grade English class that told me to “reach for the stars”. That single teacher has no idea the impact her letter had on my life.
- My father was deployed to Thailand when I was born. I didn’t meet him until I was seven months old.
- Once interviewed with the CIA (but that’s all I can tell you).
